The food is absolutely authentic! If you're from out of town, order one level up from what you would normally get or get extra spices on the side, the locals have something against spicy foods. You can substitute ANY noodle with rice or rice noodles. I don't know if they use the same pan though, celiacs should ask (just intolerant here). If you're missing Thai food, no need to make the drive to St. Louis, we've got a great place here that measures up to any of them. And try the Thai iced tea, it's fantastic!
Excellent service, the food is superb, hands down the best restaurant in Farmington. Very reasonable prices, cheap for the portion sizes and quality of preparation.
If I could give this business negative 10 stars, I would. Tonight I was utterly disappointed. I have always been a loyal customer, singing the praises of this restaurant to anyone and everyone. This is the only nearby Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, they know it, and they use it to their advantage, like a monopoly.
I am writing this review to remind "anyone" that we have the right to refuse to patronize terrible businesses, the right to use word of mouth to impact the success of businesses, and the right to write bad reviews to prevent others from experiencing atrocious and offensive service, as I did tonight.
Finally, they informed me, this is their policy. I asked where their policy is stated. I was then told they have the right to refuse service to anyone.
Have never gotten a bad meal here. Service is always great
I ordered carry out, and when I got home discovered they gave me the wrong order. I immediately called to inform them. I was asked what I ordered. I was told I ordered the wrong item. I responded with the truth, that I had the menu in front of me when I ordered. I was again told I must not have said the correct order. They told me the waiter repeated the order to me and I agreed. He did not, and I did not. They took the waiter's word over mine.
They further told me the next time I came in they'd give me A free crab rangoon for my trouble. One. This is a supreme insult. They should have replaced my order and made it right. I ate the meal because I paid for the overpriced item. It was awful.
THE BEST Thai restaurant in terms of quality and flavor of food. I lived in St. Louis for 4 years and made sure to try just about every Thai restaurant I could find - most notably, The Pearl cafe, awarded several times by the Riverfront Times Best award. Who made the better pad thai? Farmington's own of course. Pearl Cafe's noodles, as well as a lot of other places, were so full of grease and oil they became brownish-orange, some carrots and bean sprouts were cooked/steamed/blanched while others were raw, and the meat was tough and almost seemed added on as an afterthought. Pad Thai Kitchen's noodles are clean and clear, bathed in whichever sauce or spices accompanies the dish. The flavors are so robust. The food just feels "clean" without all the grease and oil that many other places seem to use universally. Maybe Pad Thai Kitchen is doing it wrong, but they are getting it oh so right. Personal favorite dishes include yellow curry, cashew nut, and of course, Pad Thai (smothered in chili paste, of course).
