This jail is a dump. The state needs to shut it down and bulldoze it.
A few years ago the jail had over anxious officers there. Seems to have calmed down at the window. But, let me tell you all something that may come a shock. These inmates in there are human beings, not animals. And then there are some who are not guilty, and some with just traffic violations. So, any one that drives, you don't fool anyone, if you drove even 1 mile over the speed limit, or rolled through a stop sign, well there you go, you broke the law too. You know the FEDERAL inmates are in the front of the house. Now they are the ones who gets treated like INMATE "Hilton Inn!" I guess so where do you think the money comes from? It comes from the FEDERAL Government. That's probably the times when the back of the house gets treated different... So, they look good when the Feds come in. I could go on about, but let's hope there is a resolution on what's going on now... I feel for any family that has an family member incarsarated. I know you do the crime, you pay the time, but sometimes it's the system that gets them there!
I have never had a problem with the Sheriff's Department. They have always been courteous and wonderful to myself and my office staff. THANK YOU from EAGLE ESTATES!
The worst county jail i have ever been in
So Rude. I can't believe how rude officers can be to people who are calling for their help. Omgosh!! Just hang up on you in the middle of a sentence. May Our Lord have Mercy upon them All.. I have known Dan for many years sometimes I wonder if he knows what some of his officers do to people. It saddens me to know that St. Francois County Sheriff's Dept. Is worst than any in the whole state of Missouri. I have never in my life seen such. I have letters upon letters of the abuse these officer's have done to people who have been in their jail. I wonder if these police officers know the laws about abuse to mental patients and the lawsuit that could be put against them.
